TAUBER PATROL Knowledge Modules
- Knowledge Modules are licensed on the bases of the physical number of CPUs (Sockets, not cores!) you want to use the product for.
We don’t care about virtual CPUs yet ;-). You just have to license eight physical CPUs if all the stuff you want to monitor runs on this host. - A separate fee is payable for each of our PATROL Knowledge Modules.
TrueSight / CMA Integration of our products
We work on bringing all our PATROL Knowledge Modules into BMC TrueSight Operations Manager CMA and so support Thresholds, Filtering and Monitor Configuration using CMA Policies. In some cases we first support Thresholding and Filtering but the KMs have to be configured with PCM (pconfig) so please remember the following two levels of BMC TrueSight Operations Manager Integration of our products:
TrueSight > 9.5 Base Integration: The product can be loaded as a BMC TrueSight Operations Manager Solution into the BMC TrueSight Operations Manager Server repository. Global thresholds, Filter Configuration and Agent based thresholds can be configured. The product it self has to be configured using PCM (pconfig) or by adding AgentSetup rules to the policy.
TrueSight > 9.5 Full Integration: The product can be loaded as a BMC TrueSight Operations Manager Solution into the BMC TrueSight Operations Manager Server repository. Global thresholds, Filter Configuration and Agent based thresholds can be configured. The product can be configured using the Monitoring Configuration part of BMC TrueSight Operations Manager CMA policies.
